Staging The Perfect Romantic Dinner

Let's talk about setting the stage for a romantic evening. It doesn't have to be Valentine's.
One of the biggest reasons. My husband and I chose this apartment was this roof deck. Views make dates so dreamy. For the same reason Everytime we go to a restaurant with a view we make sure to get a window seat. I swear it makes the food taste better!
With the view taken care of this look was actually really cheap to create!

Dining set

I bought the table at a steal during the off season for $479. Right now it's going for $779 which is still a great price! 

The table set wasn't purchased for this one event it's actually our main dining space that we will use over and over again.

I don't have a link to the flower vase because it was a THRIFT STORE PURCHASE for $4.50, but vases are a super common thing to find at thrift stores so give it a shot. The flowers in the vase were a $10 boquet from Walmart which can only be bought in store so no link for those either!

Charger Plates

These are not the exact gold charger plates, but they are super similar. I bought the original at hobby lobby. These are $1.99 each so $12 for a set of 6 🙌 or $6 for the set up I've got displayed!

Plates

I purchased the original white plates from TJ Maxx, but they are just basic. These plates from Amazon are a good price and would work perfectly!

Tealight Candles

The tealight candles were a game changer and surprised me with how cheap they were! $6.59 for a set of 100! I literally don't know how this magic happened. You can buy a similar 6 pack for $3.59 like I get that nobody needs 100, but if you have a power outage you'd be saved! They also have a 12 pack of fake ones for $11.49! I don't need to comment on this, but I will...who likes fake candles more than real ones??????

Wine Glasses

My sister bought these wine glasses for $1 each at the dollar store. Some people don't want to shop there. That's fine Target sells similar ones for $1.59

Martinelli's

You can get your sparkling cider at Walmart. The red color really made a visual impact, but taste matters too so choose your preference!

White Lights

For the lights I quickly strung up my clear Christmas lights to add to the mood. Here's a great set here. I prefer the green against my dark grey railing because it doesn't show up as much as white string lights would so you see mostly the lights.

And lastly the red Hershey's kisses 😘. I couldn't find a good link for these, but you can find them all over especially around Valentine's day!

Most of these things you already have laying around and if you used your own table you could have this same look for less than $30!!! 😍

I know some of you still reading who have made it this far are wondering, but what if I don't have a view? In the next few months I'll show another guide created from the great outdoors, but to tide you over think Picnic! Do you live near a beach, mountain, park, lake, or canyon? Spread out a blanket like the one in the link below. And you can have your own totally romantic dinner! I might use fake tealight candles on a blanket though 😉
